У статті охарактеризовано проблеми навчання англомовної комунікації на заняттях занглійської мови, порушених у науково-методичній літературі. Досліджено, що одним із провідних завдань сучасних вищих навчальних закладів є підготовка студентів-випускників до підготовленого та непідготовленого (неочікуваного) мовлення, як монологічного, так і діалогічного. Доведено, що цієї мети можливо досягнути за умови систематичної практики в спілкуванні, організованої на основі інтерактивних методів навчання і використання комунікативних життєвих ситуацій. The article is devoted to the overview of the issues related to the study of the current state of teaching university students of English language communication. Taking into account practical experience, it has been determined that teachers give preference to teaching methods that involve communicative interaction in English class. The article describes the problems of teaching English language communication in English classes, raised in scientific and methodological literature. It is researched that one of the leading tasks of modern higher education institutions is to train graduate students for prepared (thoughtful) and unprepared (unexpected) speaking -both monologue and dialogue. It is proved that this goal can be achieved under the condition of systematical speaking practice based on interactive methods of teaching language and life-like situations aimed at the development of language communicative skills. Analysis of the methodological literature showed that one of the main tasks of the teacher is to promote the students' cognitive activity during their studying, to create convenient and suitable conditions for high-quality practical mastering of English, in which students can take a creative approach to performing tasks and also achieve a professional level of English-speaking communication. It is proved that the usage of information technology, aimed at the development of students' communicative competence, makes the process of learning English interesting, interactive, and effective.
