An Analysis on the Economic Impact of Key Global Issues on Mexico

This work was produced both as an informative piece on a variety of macroeconomic theories and factors used for the analysis of countries, and as an application of these same elements on the analysis of Mexico's current economic environment. The analysis involves the study of Mexico's poverty, inequality, productivity, human capital, economic growth, finance, globalisation, financialisaton, trade, and trade policy. more » ... ess, conclusions can be drawn from the individual and overall study of the aforementioned factors. It's determined that Mexico, even though it possesses a strong economic system in the financial aspect, experiences an economy that lacks responsiveness to otherwise beneficial elements (e.g., FDI and human capital); it's concluded that, the reason behind this phenomenon, is its heightened poverty and inequality, stemmed from structural factors, which then supress the positive effect of almost any other economic variable presented. Further expansion upon the relations between these factors is encouraged, as the extension of this paper wouldn't suffice to appreciate the full extent of their influence in the contemporary Mexican economy.
