Buckling experiments on cylindrical shells with opening and reinforcement under axial compression were studied. Axial compression data were read by weighing sensor, the 3D shape of shells was measured by a laser displacement sensor. The test results show that the opening can decrease the critical buckling load and the reinforcement can raise the critical buckling load of cylindrical shells under axial compression.
