... roach and applying customised search criteria derived from the research question, 22 relevant studies were identified and reviewed in this paper. The data from these papers were extracted to identify the IoT architectural challenges and relevant solutions. These results were organised into to 9 major challenge and 7 solution categories. The results of this research will serve as a resource for practitioners and researchers for the effective adoption, and setting future research priorities and directions in this emerging area of IoT architecture.
