ARTICLE INFO Nowdays, most of the complex components are numerically analyzed using softwares such as ANSYS, Nastran, etc. Though these software tools are well proven, a validation of numerical analysis must be carried out to instill a confidence in numerical analysis. The aim of this work is to develop a validation protocol using experimental stress analysis techniques such as Digital Photoelasticity and Image processing. more » ... at use properties of light propagating through loaded or deformed components to determine and analyze the relative displacements in the material and state of strains and stresses. It is proposed to employ models that display birefringence under applied stress and are observed under polarized light using a Polariscope. Additionaly, Image processing of the acquired images will be carried out using Python. A comprehensive scheme of validation will be the outcome of the proposed work.
