Febantel was completely (100%) effective against Trichostrongylidae spp. at a dose of 5 mg./kg. body weight. No side effects were observed at the doses administered and treated animals experienced a rapid improvement in their general condition. Özet: Doğal enfekte Akkaraman ırkı 21 kuzu ve 27 koyunda mide-bağırsak nematodlarına (Trichostrongylidae spp.) karşı % LOfebantel süspansiyon (Rin-tal@)'unun etkisi araştırılmıştır. ilacın 5 ve 7.5 mg./kg. dozları kuzu ve koyunlara otomatik enjektörle ağız yolu ile verilmiştir. Kontrol gruplarında enfeksiyon devam ettiği halde sağıtılan hayvanların dışkıtarının gramındaki yumurta sayısında %100 azalma olmuştur. Sonuçlar gram dışkıda bulunan yumurta sayısındaki azalmaya göre değerlendirilmiş ve Febantel'in 5 mg./kg. dozu Trichostrongylidae türlerine karşı %100 etkili bulunmuştur. Verilen dozların olumsuz bir etkisi görülmemiş ve sağıtılan hayvanların genel durumlarında da süratli bir gelişme gözlenmiştir.
