Development of DFIG Concept and Control Strategies

This paper "Develop ment of DFIG concept and control strategies" presents the analysis of DFIG fro m its equivalent circuit presenting concept of DFIG fro m simple basics and the control strategy for DFIG is imp lemented. The response and performance of DFIG for various slips is analysed fro m the equivalent circuit of DFIG. The electrical power input to the machine fro m rotor and stator is analysed which further used to determine the active and react ive power delivered by DFIG to grid. The

The analysis of power flow of DFIG system made clear that the power electronic equipment used for control of DFIG has to handle only a fraction of power co mpared to total power which increases the efficiency of DFIG. Simu lation studies have been carried out for the DFIG model and its control strategy is implemented using MATLAB simulink and the results are recorded.
