A Decision Support System (DSS) is a computer-based information system that supports business or corporate organizational decision-making activities. DSSs serve the management, operations, and planning levels of an organization (usually mid and higher management) and help to make decisions. Corporate intelligence represents the tools and systems that play a key role in the strategic planning process within a corporation. Generally these systems will illustrate business intelligence in the areas of customer profiling, customer support, market research, market segmentation, product profitability, statistical analysis, and inventory and distribution analysis just to name a few. This paper presents a relationship between decision support system and corporate intelligence to find out the true picture of business parameters, to plan strategies for the future and direct business resources towards achieving growth potential.
