We reviewed the results of valgus osteotomy, with and without acetabuloplasty , performed between October 1983 and August 1992 on 42 patients with far advanced osteoarthritis in congenitally dislocated, subluxated, or displastic hip . All patients were over 40 years of age (average age at time of operation, 49.0 years). The follow-up period averaged 7 years 8 months.
