A case of malignant fibrous histiocytoma on the chest wall

because of a recurrent tumor on his chest wall. The patient was operated on six times in another hospital after a diagnosis of desmoid tumor since 1998. We reexamined the pathological specimens of all of the excised tumor and we diagnosed it as malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH). Before the operation, 100mg of doxorubicin was administered into the left internal thoracic artery, which entered into the tumor. more » ... e sternum. The defect of the chest wall was reconstructed with polypropylene mesh, latissimus dorsi and rectus abdominis musculocutaneous flap.
