The surrounding rock pressure distribution, the displacement deformation law, force characteristics of support structure, and the distribution of plastic ranges were studied through finite element simulation of construction process of a tunnel. Then the data obtained by the numerical simulation was compared with the data measured in the construction. The results show that construction has great effect on the initial formation stress, and the stress in the top and bottom part of the entrance of

The surrounding rock pressure distribution, the displacement deformation law, force characteristics of support structure, and the distribution of plastic ranges in different construction sequences are analyzed and compared through setting up numerical analysis model. And the results show that excavating the two tunnels at the same time can reduce the internal support force to some extent, but excavating at different time reduce the distribution range of maximum value and can reduce internal stress concentration.
