We examined the influence of nutrient solution and N concentration in hydroponics by spraying the root growth of 1-year-old trees of 'Kyoho' grapes. The results demonstrated that the growth and quantity of the new root were the highest at EC 0.5 mS/cm nutrient solution. Influence of N concentration (the same rate of N types; NO3-N : NH4-N =2:1) on the quantity of the new root was not marked, however, a higher concentration, 20ppm, slightly increased the quality compared to 10ppm. As for the N concentration in the nutrient solution, the largest amount of shoot and berry growth was found at 20 ppm, and the least amount of shoot
