From the Phytophthora infestans collection of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, the isolates collected in different locations in Antioquia, Colombia between 1994 and 2000 were evaluated. These isolates were obtained from late blight lessons in different hosts. In 2000, these isolates were characterized by mating type, mitochondrial haplotype and virulence races. All isolates were of the A1 mating type and two mitochondrial haplotypes were identified: IIa, present in isolates from all the
