[2+3]-Cycloadditionsreaktionen von Nitrilen mit Bis(triphenylphosphoranyliden)iminiumazid/[2 + 3]Cyclo-Addition Reactions of Nitriles with Bis(triphenylphosphoranyliden)iminium Azide

Cyanogen and the two isomers of S(CN)4 ((2) and (3)) react with [Ph3PNPPh3]+N3- (Ph3PNPPh3 equals PPN) or [Me4N]+N3- to yield the tetrazolides [PPN]+[C2N5]- (4), [PPN]+[C4N7S]- (5), isomer (6) and [Me4N]+[C4N7S]- (7), respectively. The X-ray structure of (7) is reported. The [C4N7S]- anion is completely planar. It consists of two five-membered rings. Pyrolysis of (7) in an FD mass spectrometer gives anions of composition [C4N5]- and [C6N5]- .
