Society often does not demand punishment ("punishment for the sake of punishment"), it demands prevention of it in the future (public order and confidence in tomorrow). Prevention of criminal acts is possible on the basis of IT, information systems of justice, digital transformations in society, law and economy. This article provides a systematic analysis of ways, methods and problems of IT application in crime investigation. A systematic analysis of the possibilities of updating was carried out, which resulted, in particular, in a list of the most relevant in the investigation of IT crimes.
