This research is focused on how far or how close the youth of today is from social responsibility on the basis of the ten points of social responsibility given by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on the eve of Independence Day 2004. The problems faced by India in today's times are illiteracy, unemployment, environment, and many more. To quote an example, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam once said-During our lifetime, if we plant 10 trees and nurture them, we will have over 10 billion trees. These 10 billion trees can definitely contain the climate change problem‖. If the youth become socially responsible and take up these issues as their responsibility, India as a nation will have inclusive growth. Therefore it is important to study how far or how close the college youth of today are from the social responsibility. This research will help find whether the college students i.e. the youth of today are far or close to social responsibility.
