Faint quasi-stellar-object candidates in selected areas 28 and 68 identified from multicolor photometry
1989
Publications of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific
We identify 45 QSO candidates over a total area of 0.53 square degree in two fields at high Galactic latitudes. These candidates reached B ~ 21.5 for field Lynx.3 in SA 28 and B ~ 22 for field SA 68.2 and were selected from a subset of objects in catalogs generated from multicolor photometry (UBV) of deep Kitt Peak 4-m plates with limits of B ~ 24. This subset consists of all objects which appeared stellarlike in size but which did not have UBV colors of common Galactic stars. Besides several
