-Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of communication devices or nodes that wish to communicate without any fixed infrastructure and predetermined organization of available links. The nodes in MANET themselves are responsible for dynamically discovering other nodes to communicate. Security has become a primary concern in order to provide protected communication between mobile nodes in a hostile environment. Unlike the wired networks, the unique characteristics of mobile ad hoc

More recent studies focused on security problems in MANETs. So we discuss security issues in detail and security issues associated with mobile ad hoc networks which are required in order to provide secure communication.
