with a perforated disc of wood forming its upper end, the lower end being open and stiffened by a brass rim. Outside the neck of a small wide-mouthed bottle is stretched a rubber ring ; the lower end of the gauze cylinder fits over this, and makes a joint wdiich allows the " 1 " 1 death.
