FELIX MENDELSSOHN BARTHOLDY. DIED NOVEMBER 4, I847. FIFTY years have passed away since the earthly career of F^elix Mendelssohn was brought to a close. It is difficult to realise that he was born in the same year as Tennyson who died only Eve years ago and Mr. Gladstone.
