Time-period Measurements of Reversible Pendulum Using Arduino
[post]

We present an experiment to demonstrate the utility of Arduino microcontroller in the undergraduate Physics laboratory. The experiment is the traditional reversible (Kater's) pendulum which is usedfor the determination of acceleration due to gravity 'g'. We use the IR sensor with Arduino as an interface to determine accurately the time intervals. This work is inspired by the feedback received from undergraduate students who wanted to improve upon the traditional way of measuring the time periods of oscillations.
