KEYWORDS economic reform; B.J Habibie; rconomy crysis; the new order ABSTRAK Perekonomian Indonesia mengalami krisis moneter pada era kepemimpinan Presiden Soeharto dimana dari tahun 1997-1998 terjadi berbagai permasalahan ekonomi yang berakhir dengan penurunan kekuasaan Presiden Soeharto. Kepemimpinan beralih ke tangan B.J Habibie yang mana berusaha keras untuk mengembalikan kondisi perekonomian nasional lewat kebijakan ekonominya. Presiden B.J Habibie memfokuskan kebijakan ekonominya pada penguatan serta pemulihan ekonomi pasca krisis moneter yang terjadi. Ada perbaikan dari segi perekonomian yang mengalami inflansi serta penurunan nilai tukar atau kurs rupiah atas dollar AS.
