This study aims at identifying the Palestinian detainees abilities to adapt between their natural need of freedom and their deprivation of it during the period of detention. The researcher used Questioner and selected a random sample of (173) freed detainees ( ..55 )% out of (310) living in Gaza after the prisoners swap in 2011. Furthermore, religious ,national, and social factors played an important role in their steadfast. -No significant differences between the averages of the respondents' responses about (the priorities of the concept of freedom), (the impacts depriving detainees from freedom) and (factors that help detainees to withstand the deprivation of their freedom), due to the variables of residence place, age, number of imprisonment years and social status. Recommendation: -Increase attention to the detainees' issue and their families, striving to liberate them. -Preparing national programs for promoting religious and national identity, reinforcing the social bond. -Promoting security awareness in the Palestinian society to reduce chances of falling in imprisonment.
