The present experiment was conducted in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Tezpur University during 2007-08. In this experiment, nine indigenous medicinal plants are analysed for their total phenolic contents and antioxidant activity viz. Amaranthus spinosus, Centella asiatica, Chenopodium album, Houttuynia cordata, Moringa oleifera, Paederia foetida and Polygonum chinense.
