The general and specific features of the constitutional and legal foundations of state power in Ukraine are analyzed in the context of worldwide practice of exercising such power. Particular attention is focused on the specifics of the norms of the Constitution of Ukraine (1996). A special emphasis is placed on state control, the compulsory nature of state policy.
