The title cocrystal, C8H12O4·C17H20N4O2·2H2O, shows O—H...N hydrogen bonded supramolecular chain motifs of cis-1,3-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid (H2cdc) molecules alternating with N,N′-(pentane-1,5-diyl)bis(pyridine-4-carboxamide)pentane (bpcpe) molecules. These chain motifs are aggregated by C—H...O interactions into supramolecular layers and slabs, which are stacked into the three-dimensional crystal structure by means of O—H...O interactions mediated by the water molecules of crystallization.
