The blood-retinal barrier is the one of the earliest retinal changes in diabetes. The blood retinal barrier is a physiological barrier that regulates ion, protein and water flux in inner and outer retina. In blood-retinal barrier function vitreous fluorophotometry technique is an excellent technique to quantitate.
