In this article six new copoly(amide-imide)s CoPAIs 6a-f were synthesized through the direct polycondensation reaction of N,N'-bis(4carboxyphenyl)bicyclo[2,2,2]oct-7-ene-2,3,5,6tetracarboxylic diimide 3 with 4,4'azobenzenedicarboxylic acid 4 in the presence of various diamines 5a-f in a medium consisting of Nmethyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP), triphenyl phosphite (TPP), calcium chloride (CaQ 2 ) and pyridine (Py).
