Thermal expansion of tantalum
Bureau of Standards Journal of Research
This paper gives data on the linear thermal expansion of three samples of worked and annealed tantalum over various temperature ranges between -190°a nd +500°C. A summary of available data by previous observers on the thermal expansion of tantalum is included. Worked tantalum was found to expand practically the same as annealed tantalum. The following equation is given as the most probable second-degree equation for the expansion of tantalum between 20°a nd 500°C. : L t =L [l + (6.59£ +doi:10.6028/jres.002.028 fatcat:o6vyaf4ahfdgnp5vdotd2yy4e4
