This new technology requires different ways of detecting inputs from the user -inputs which will be made out of on-screen gestures rather than by clicking of buttons or scrolling mouse wheels. In this pa per w e st udie d the gestures defined for multi-touch screen interfaces, the methods used to detect them and how they are passed on to other applications.
