Three cases of urticaria, one followed by erysipelas, occurred in my practice last year, all undoubtedly due to the handling of primula obconica. In all three cases the usual characteristic symptoms of urticaria were present--violent irritation, followed by appearance and disappearance of wheals and erythematous rash, going on in one case to severe erysipelas of the face, necessitating the usual treatment.
