Al-Ghunyah's book consists of five major discussions namely; fiqh, aqeedah, mawā'idz al-Qur'ān, Alfāz} al-Nabawiyah, Fad} āilil a'māl and Sufism. The results of this study show that the thoughts of Sufism Abdul Qadir al-Jailany -which deals with the definitions of Sufism, Sufism and Mutashawif, are the pupils of the Shaykh and vice versa, and finally the theoretical sides of the Tariqah Qadiriyah -do not violate the Qur'an and Sunnah and aqidah ahlu sunnah wal jama'ah. Abstrak Arikel ini membahas pemikiran-pemikiran tasawuf Syaikh Abdul Qodir al-Jailany. Pembahasan tentang pemikiran pendiri Thariqah Qadiriyah -dengan langsung merujuk kepada karyanya-ini sangat penting, mengingat banyaknya amalan-amalan beberapa pengikut thariqah tasawuf Qadiriyah yang tidak sesuai dengan aqidah ahlu sunnah wal jama'ah dan menisbatkannya kepada beliau.
