Various types of economic risks, methods of risk analysis and assessment, as well as risk mitigation strategies are explored in the article. Various risk management methods are used in the modern economic analysis. The most efficient way to reduce risk in conditions of instability of the economic and political situation in Russia is diversification, i.e., risk sharing among several business participants.
