Among these factors, the female participants scored higher than the males for "rebellion against a parent," "dependence on and conformance to a parent," and "self-preference." Meanwhile, "rebellion against a parent" and "dependence on and conformance to a parent" were rated higher for mothers than fathers, and "disappointment in a parent" was rated higher for fathers than mothers.
