Re-Engineering Construction Work-Processes for Building Automation
1996
Proceedings of the 13th International Symposium on Automation and Robotics in Construction
unpublished
To develop a cost effective building automation system, there is a need for new way of thinking. Automatingthe traditional construction operations most likely would not result in a sustainable and profitable sy stem. We must develop the automated sy stems in the context of construction work processes rather than traditional work functions. The objective of this paper is to propose new ideas and ways of designing construction automation system by focusing on work processes and Computer Integrated Construction (CIC).
