Aiming at the light-weight design of tower for under typhoon wind turbine, the typhoon environment load cases and control strategy were researched. Based on the conventional design of under typhoon wind turbine and 《GB/T 31519-2015 wind turbine generator system under typhoon condition》 standard, a developed typhoon control strategy was proposed to protect turbine and decrease the weight of tower.
