Food waste can be recycled just like paper and plastic. Food waste is rich in organic materials, rich in carbon and hydrogen. Combinations of carbon and hydrogen can produce large amounts of energy. Fuels, like gasoline, are made of long carbon and hydrogen chains. Being that these elements are present in the food that we throw away every day, it is a waste to not utilize them.
