This paper analyzes population trends northeast of Montenegro in the second half of the twentieth and early twenty-first century. The population has increased in the period 1948-2003 to 2.16%, but with a tendency to decline from 1981. The population in are period 1981-2003, decreased by 14,674, or 21.16 %. Parameters of natural population indicate a negative trend.
