Evaluation of academic journals is a complicated decision-making problem. In order to improve the influence of academic journals, an evaluation model of core competitiveness of academic journals is proposed. Firstly, the indexes of five major evaluation systems are analyzed to obtain the core elements of academic journals evaluation. Secondly, the analytic hierarchy process is used to construct the evaluation model of the core competitiveness of academic journals and establish the judgment
