Aim : Methodology : Results : Interpretation : Breeding performance of in semi-arid agro-climatic conditions of northern India was evaluated in view of establishing hatchery to supply its seed. were induced to breed using carp pituitary gland (PG) extract. Females were administered with priming dose of 2.5 -3.0 mg kg ; after 6 hrs, a second resolving dose of 10-12 mg kg was given, while males were administered with single dose of 2.5-3.0 mg kg body weight.
