DOCÊNCIA UNIVERSITÁRIA NA UNIVERSIDADE PÚBLICA BRASILEIRA: resistência em tempos de pandemia da COVID-19

This essay discusses the progressive commitment of teaching at the public university, in quarantine COVID-19. Emergency distance education was assumed as an inevitable option for the continuity of training processes, however, its imposition is proof of thestrength of political hegemony, whose actions result in an obscurantist logic that denies science and criticism, which allows constant attacks on public universities, in addition to exposing teaching to technical-instrumental action. more » ... theoreticalbasis is assumed, as a starting point for the analysis of aspects related to university education: 1) principles of emancipatory teaching; 2) problems related to teaching in the Pedagogy/FE/ UFG course during the reality of the COVID-19 pandemic; 3) emergency remote education, seeking perspectives of overcoming. The centrality of this reflection reinforces the fact that we assume university teaching as one of the founding principles of the public university, being responsible for defining integral education –bildung.
