2007 International Journal of Modern Physics A
Recent results related to open charm and charmonium spectroscopy from data collected by the Babar experiment in e + e − collisions near √ s = 10.58 GeV are reviewed. New estimates of the D * s0 (2317) + , D s1 (2460) + , and D s1 (2536) + meson properties and the discovery of a new D + s meson at 2.86 GeV/c 2 decaying to DK are presented. New results on the two charmonium candidates X(3872) and Y (4260) are discussed also.
