Özet Şer'iyye sicilleri, Osmanlı'da kaza kadılarının her türlü davalarda verdikleri kararları ve merkezden gelen emirleri kaydettirdikleri mahkeme kayıtlarıdır. Bu kayıtların bizzat kaza merkezlerinde kaydedilmiş olması, onları yerel tarih araştırmaları açısından son derece önemli bir kaynak haline getirmektedir. Urfa'nın Osmanlı dönemi tarihi için mühim bir kaynak olan şer'iyye sicili defterlerinde, şehrin sosyal dokusuna, eğitimine, ekonomik ve kültürel yapısına dair zengin bir tarihî malumat mevcuttur. Bu çalışmada söz konusu siciller tanıtılarak defterlerin ait olduğu tarihler ve genel durumları hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Abstract Kadi registers (shariah sicilis) are the courts records in which the country (kaza) kadis in the Ottoman Empire have the decisions of cases and orders coming from the center registered. That the records itself were registered at the country center makes them a significant recourses with regard to the history researches. For this reason, it is indispensable to apply to the kadi registers of that city for better understanding and evaluating of a city's social, financial, military and cultural history in Ottoman time. There is substantial information about the city's social fabric, education, financial and cultural structure in the kadi registers which is an important recourse for Urfa in the Ottoman Empire history.
