Organizational Paradigms and Organizational Modeling

This paper introduces a new dimension to the alignment between business and information technology. Besides alignment of strategies, objectives, and processes, the paper argues that modelling languages for the description of organizational domains during requirements engineering must be aligned with the organizational paradigm. This paper examines five organizational paradigms and their ontologies. Current conceptual modelling languages are shown to be poorly aligned with the paradigms,
