This article presents the results of an overall analysis of traffic demand characteristics on Republic of Serbia primary road network based on available data for the years 1988-2009. Road sections of Pan European Multimodal Transportation Corridor X in Serbia, actually the trunk roads in Southeast Europe, are analyzed further in order to define demand characteristics and future prospects. Based on the general analysis results conclusions are defined together with recommendations for near future actions.
