Underworld vs the World of Darkness: Players and Filmgoers Respond to a Legal Battle

Even before its release, Underworld (2003) had proved controversial following a legal action for copyright infringement from White Wolf, a games publisher, and Nancy A Collins, a horror writer. Reaction was marked among White Wolf fans who debated the case in forums on both gaming and film sites. A significant number of fans were deeply critical of the actions of White Wolf, and they were more concerned about being able to see 'their' World of Darkness on screen than demonstrating loyalty to
