THE STUDY OF CORROSION BEHAVIOR OF C/CoNiCr/Cr THIN FILM MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIA
1989
Journal of the Magnetics Society of Japan
Abstracts__ The excellent corrosion resistatice is the fundamental requirement for the practical magnetic media. The corrosion behavior of sputtered C/CoNiCr/Cr thin film in Sooc. SO'YoRH environment were investigated in terms of AES, SIHS atid VSH. The results show that the cobalt signal is clearly detected on the carbon surface after only 1.5 hours ex-posure. The diameter of cobalt rich particales spreaded on the carbon surface is in the rat~ of 150 to 250 A. TIlese particles grow up atid
