Effects of Clinical Art Therapy Expression Activities For Children at a Children's Home

In this study, we performed an intervention which used clinical art therapy for children at a children's home, with the aim of verifying, through its practice, whether any positive change would be recognized in children's behavior and emotional states. We selected 32 children as subjects from the children's home and divided them into the intervention group and the non-intervention group. We then gave the former group a total of eight clinical art sessions. When comparing the Child Behavior

List (CBCL) results from before and after the interventions, positive changes were observed in the treated group, as measured in total CBCL scores, introversion scales and aggressive behavior scale. Also, the reports from support members and teachers referred to children who had shown positive changes after the intervention.
