STATIC VAR COMPENSATION FOR SINGLE PHASE INDUCTION MOTOR OPERATION

This work presents the design of a static var compensation scheme that uses intelligent controllers to minimise the problems associated with excessive var consumption and the investigation of the impact of SVC on machine efficiency. The work describes the design of a var compensation scheme which uses a Pic Microcontroller to determine the phase difference between voltage and current of a single phase induction motor.
