A new Ferric(III) complex, [Fe(L)(Cl) 3 ] (1) [L= N-(4-(Benzyloxy)benzyl)-1,4,7-Triazacyclononane], has been synthesized and characterized by IR, elemental analysis and ESI-MS. The electrospray mass spectrum of 1 in solution indicates that mononuclear ion [Fe(L)Cl 2 ] + (2) is the active species.
